Pilgrim

“Pilgrim” is a sonorous sculpture by Lars Greve, which was part of GRASP 2021 – a new festival for social and environmental sustainability, presented by Roskilde Festival.

“Pilgrim” is a 3 metre tall metal tower, placed on a 7 X 7 metre black ramp. All the surfaces act as a loudspeaker, enabling the listener to feel and see the vibrations of the music.

During GRASP, Lars Greve embedded sound in the sculpture with three solo performances, which subsequently resounded all day and night. The music made the metals walls billow out, as the base rumbled up the vibrating ramp.

“Pilgrim” will travel on, forming the framework for new experiments in the future.
